Volunteers, please do not arrange any face to face contact with your Home-Start family before talking to your Home-Start Co-ordinator!

Some volunteers recently attended Domestic Abuse training with Women’s Aid as part of the Trusted Professionals project.  It is likely that there will be further dates released so more volunteers can attend in the near future.  Domestic abuse is a huge concern and cases have risen considerably during lockdown so the more we know about it and how to support survivors, the better!

Some volunteers also completed the “Supporting Families Remotely” online training which is still available if you wish to complete this in your own time – Contact Amanda.

Safeguarding – Please remember that normal safeguarding policies and procedures apply at all times.  Even when supporting a family remotely, it is important to pick up on any potential safeguarding risks.  Any concerns, contact your Home-Start Co-ordinator immediately.
