A wonderful evening celebrating the hard-working and inspirational volunteers in our local communities took place on Tuesday 10th June at the Royal Holloway College, Egham.
Home-Start Spelthorne’s own Jenny Sice and Anne Damerell were nominated, and were rewarded with a certificate, pin badge and M&S voucher in recognition of their 30 years as HS Trustees. They are truly amazing people, and deserving of this award.
Jenny was able to attend, but sadly Anne was not well enough to go along; but Michelle, our FSM, kindly collected the award on Anne’s behalf.
In attendance were the Mayor of Spelthorne, Cllr John Doran, and the Mayor of Runnymede, Cllr Margaret Harnden who presented the awards;
The keynote address was given by Moses Seitler, with a presentation from the VSNS Chair, Helen Frary,
This event was all made possible by VSNS’s partners Royal Holloway Volunteering,
To our volunteers- you are all winners in our eyes. Your kindness touches so many lives
