We are delighted to welcome five new Home-Visiting Volunteers to the Home-Start Spelthorne team following the successful completion of our latest Volunteer Preparation Course, which finished on Tuesday 24th March.
Over the course of the training, our new volunteers learned about the vital role they will play in supporting families across Spelthorne. The course covered topics such as understanding the challenges families can face, building supportive relationships, safeguarding, and the practical ways volunteers can offer help and encouragement.
Our Home-Visiting Volunteers provide a friendly, non-judgemental presence for families with young children, offering regular support in the home and helping parents build confidence, resilience and stronger family life.
We are incredibly grateful to these volunteers for giving their time and energy to support local families. Their kindness and commitment will make a real difference in our community.
